accessibility AND FAQ

Accessibility at the Venue:

MNP Place, our venue for Kelowna Comicon, is a fully accessible venue. Equipped with elevators to take you upstairs to our upper panel room, ground floor entry into our vendors hall, and ramps where needed.

Quiet Zones and Sensory Areas

We are pleased to also offer quiet zones throughout the convention. These areas are designed for anyone who needs a break from the crowds and noise of the main event. Whether it be in the board gaming area, the community craft zone, or even in the Okanagan Regional Library conveniently located next to our vendors hall. You'll be able to relax and recharge in a space that's more calm and peaceful. There might even be some fun activities for you to do while you relax and recharge!

Main Stage Sound

We are constantly working on improving sound noise due to our main stage being in the vendors hall, however since our main stage IS in the vendors hall currently we do ask that you understand there may be some heightened noise during our events such as the lip sync battle and cosplay contest.

astro turf on the fields

We are working with MNP place on a possible solution to the astroturf during our event, however we can not guarantee a solution will be found in time for our next event at MNP Place. We do recommend that if you are in a wheel chair, need additional support walking, or require food at specific intervals you make a plan to navigate the possibility of astroturf. As there is no food and drink on the astroturf other than water, as well as it can be harder to navigate with some wheel chair wheels. Panel rooms and all auxilary hall ways are on concrete and do not have the restrictions of the astroturf.
