Kelowna ComiCon Artwork Contest: Celebrate the Spirit of Adventure!

Calling all artists—amateur and professional! Submit your original artwork to be the featured art for Kelowna ComiCon 2025! The winning design will grace the cover of our flyers and our program guide, which will be filled with maps, schedules, and essential con info. Winning entries may also be featured on signs, social media promotional material, and our website.

Guidelines:

​

1. Feature Sandy, our Lovable Mascot:

   • Sandy is a sandman-like entity with sand-colored hair (sometimes with a red tinge at the tips) and purple eyes.

   • Sandy loves dreaming of exciting adventures in different worlds!

   • You can dress and pose Sandy as you like​

   • Copyrighted characters, even as background or additional details, are not permitted.

1. Creative Integrity:

   • Submissions that are degrading, inappropriate, or include nudity will not be accepted.

   • The artwork must prominently feature Sandy.

   • No AI artwork will be accepted.

1. Optional Additions:

   • Including the Kelowna ComiCon logo and/or the year (2025) is encouraged but not required.

   • Feel free to submit two versions: one with the year and one without.

​

Contest Details:

​

• Open to: All artists, both amateur and professional.

• Submission Limit: There is no limit to the number of entries an artist may submit.

• Eligibility: Kelowna ComiCon staff members are not eligible to enter. Volunteers who submit entries may do so but will be excluded from the selection of the winning entry.
